We view the energy sector as a key investment area and one with significant potential. We are actively seeking investment opportunities in oilfield technology, renewable energy, environmental technologies and clean and green technology.

We have established a strong track record for successful investments in oilfield technology. We are especially interested in technologies that reduce the cost of finding and producing oil; improve reservoir characterisation; improve oil and gas recovery; and develop the digital oilfield. We are also interested in applications which minimise the environmental impact of oil and gas production and advance existing subsea technology as well as those which improve transportation techniques, such as gas to liquid.

Aside from oil and gas technology opportunities, we are interested in companies that have developed equipment and services which can increase the competitiveness of power generation from renewable sources such as wind, wave, tidal and solar energy. We are also keen to assess products which can increase the capacity and operability of power distribution networks, such as grid management solutions. Other key areas of interest include distributed and mobile power technologies such as fuel cells, advanced batteries, energy storage, energy efficiency and new materials.
