VirtenSys and Zeus celebrate Techworld Awards victory
The Techworld Awards 2009 have resulted in victory for two of SEP’s portfolio companies with VirtenSys, taking the top award in the Virtualisation Product of the Year category, while Zeus won Infrastructure Product of the Year.
VirtenSys, which closed a $16 million funding round in August, is a leader in virtualisation solutions which deliver increased efficiency and better manageability of data centres. It won the award for its VirtenSys V10 4000 Series 10 Virtualisation Switches. Gartner estimates the I/O Virtualization switch opportunity to be worth more than US$4 billion per year.
Zeus, which picked up the award for its Zeus Traffic Manager 5.1, is a leader in software-based application traffic management solutions. It launched Version 6.0 of its flagship Zeus Traffic Manager Product in October. The latest release can be deployed in any physical, virtual or cloud environment.
