Andrew is SEP’s General Counsel and is responsible for all of SEP’s legal matters, including relationships with external counsel. Andrew provides legal and strategic input in SEP’s investments and portfolio company exits and deals with regulatory, corporate compliance and governance matters. He was closely involved in the fundraising for SEP’s recent SEP IV and Environmental Energies funds.
Andrew’s legal background includes in excess of 10 years in private practice with Maclay, Murray and Spens, where he gained extensive experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and finance agreements. Andrew also has a keen interest in intellectual property. He holds an LLB (Hons) in Private Law from The University of Glasgow and is also a Notary Public.
