Stuart Paterson is a partner in the firm and focuses on investments in internet, communications and semiconductor technology. Over the last twelve years of venture capital investing, he has led investments in many start ups and played a lead role in working with outstanding entrepreneurs to build world class companies. He has also backed a number of later stage companies looking to strengthen their capital base and bring on board expereinced investors ahead of IPO or M&A activity.
His investments include: picoChip, the WiMax and 3G chip company; Zinwave, the wireless distributed antenna systems business; Virtensys, the I/O virtualisation systems business; Gigle Networks, the “Anywire” home networking chip company; Skyscanner, the online flight search engine and ControlCircle the Data Centre Management company.
His successes include a number of flotations on the London Stock Exchange including IndigoVision (LSE: IND) Orbital Software and CSR(LSE: CSR) as well as trade exits to Cisco, Agilent and Rolls Royce.
