Litera Microsystems acquires SEP-backed Workshare
Workshare, the document comparison and transaction management specialist for the legal sector, has been acquired by Chicago headquartered Litera Microsystems in a deal set to drive further innovation across the global legal software market.
The acquisition secures an exit for SEP who first invested in Workshare in 2012. Andrew Davison, a partner at SEP, said: “We are pleased to have supported Workshare’s growth over the last 7 years. The acquisition by Litera is a great strategic fit, opening up exciting opportunities across the legal industry and we wish the team continued success.”
Michael Garrett, CEO of Workshare added: “This is a great opportunity to build on the strengths of each organisation, creating a single supplier to improve the efficiency, productivity, and security of the document lifecycle and we are looking forward to being part of that future. We thank SEP for their support and commitment over the last few years”.
