SEP reports strong year with £99 million invested

Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has announced strong investment activity in the year to 30 June, completing investments totalling £99 million during the period.

Aggregate revenues generated by SEP portfolio companies increased by 20% to £850 million, and total employment grew to more than 5,000 people.

SEP’s Managing Partner, Calum Paterson said “We have had a particularly busy 12 months, and our portfolio companies have performed strongly.   We continue to be impressed by the commitment and ingenuity of our management teams and their staff”.

SEP has also marked 15 years in business as an independent venture capital group. Calum Paterson said:

“Since setting up the firm in back in August 2000 we have grown our own team significantly, evolved our investment model and diversified our business through the addition of secondary and infrastructure funds. It has been a privilege to support the growth of some outstanding companies during this time. I would also like to pay tribute to the SEP partners and our broader team for their hard work over the last 15 years.”
