Online retailer SportPursuit, which is backed by SEP, has committed to planting 100,000 trees from its “Festive Forest” Christmas campaign. As part of its ongoing tree planting goals the company, which specialises in the sale of sports and outdoor brands, had pledged to plant a tree for every order placed in December 2020.

Since 2018 SportPursuit has partnered with reforestation charity Size of Wales to plant trees in two global projects. Trees from the Festive Forest campaign will be planted in Bore Community Forest in Kenya, providing a range of benefits for the local communities as well as having a positive impact on the environment.

Adam Pikett, co-founder & CEO of SportPursuit, said: “Thanks to the hard work of the SportPursuit team and the passion of our customers our tree planting initiatives have gone from strength to strength over the past year. It’s a huge achievement to be planting 100,000 trees from our December Festive Forest campaign taking our total tree planting so far to 224,650. We would like to thank all our customers, our team and our partner Size of Wales for their great work.”
