ExcoInTouch (Exco) focused on the development of digital engagement and data capture solutions for clinical research and healthcare programmes.

Actively engaged at board level and as the company’s largest shareholder, we helped shape strategy and capitalise on Exco’s first mover advantage in the emerging mobile health market. This included forging key partnerships with Vodafone, Microsoft and AstraZeneca and achieving a landmark US patent. Headcount grew to over 180 mobile technology experts, customers included 8 of the top 10 pharma companies globally, and over 1 million patients accessed Exco’s technology platform. Revenue growth was recognised by listings in the 2015 and 2016 Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

Exco was acquired by ERT, the leading provider of high-quality patient data collection solutions for use in clinical drug development, representing one of the most successful exits for a UK venture capital backed business in the digital health market.
