SEP is delighted to have achieved top ranking in the ESG Transparency Private Equity and Venture Capital Index 2021, highlighting our commitment to responsible investment.  The report, compiled by ITPEnergised and Orbis Advisory, analyses the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting performance of 155 private equity and 122 venture capital firms across the UK.  SEP is one of only eleven firms to have fulfilled all four criteria in the venture and growth capital category and be named as a top performer.

The report showcases best practice in ESG reporting across the venture capital and private equity industry and highlights the importance of a responsible investment strategy in assessing ESG risks, building resilience, improving portfolio company financial performance and contributing to long term business growth and success.

Catherine Simpson, Chief Operating Officer at SEP said: “SEP is committed to building sustainable businesses and is pleased to have been recognised as a top performer in the ESG Transparency Private Equity and Venture Capital Index 2021. In 2022 we plan to further our ESG agenda and continue to create value for our portfolio companies, including sharing best practice through our Growth Series events and Women in Tech Leadership network.”
